Winners of the Call for School Initiatives under the Erasmus + Jean Monnet project “Advancing European values and standards in Georgian schools”, have been announced.
As a result of the evaluation process, mini-projects submitted by Zugdidi Public School N9, Telavi Public School N4 and Borjomi Public School N1 were chosen for sub-granting.
“All Different – All Equal” is a project submitted by Zugdidi Public School N9. The project aims at creating a traveling puppet theater performing shows on human rights and freedoms.
With its project “Diversity Strengthens Us”, Telavi Public School N4 intends to promote cooperation between the schools with predominantly Georgian pupils on the one hand, and those attended mostly by ethnic minority groups on the other. Activities planned under this project are mainly focused on raising awareness on national and cultural identity as well as on the idea of tolerance and equality.
Borjomi Public School N1 submitted a project the name of which is “Borjomi – Beauty of Georgia”. Through field activities of both theoretical and practical nature, the project will help students better understand the importance of historical and cultural monuments and raise their awareness about national identity.
