Dr. Lela Abdushelishvili, PhD in Education is a Professor of Education at European University, delivering lectures in academic writing and teaching methodology; At the same time, Lela is a director of value-based educational and cultural programs at NGO “Nakvalevi” and  works with youth educating them about European values, designing training and educational programs for young people. She also serves as the ETAG (English Teachers’ Association of Georgia) trainer and course designer.  

Lela Abdushelishvili holds MA in Linguistics and English Philology, Cambridge CELTA, BEC and TKT teaching qualifications and is a certified international BC and ETAG methodology trainer, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) practitioner and a Basic Consultant of Positive Psychotherapy from Wiesbaden Academy of Psychotherapy. Her PhD is in Education Sciences, namely, adult education. 

Lela Abdushelishvili has worked  for USAID Vocational Education Project (VEP) in Georgia as a trainer and career counselor and Georgian Evaluation Association (GEA) providing consultancy and training services within the scope of the UNICEF-GEA project “Community Reading Center for Children and Youth Development in Gori”. Lela also has experience of providing consultancy services to the USAID/Economic Prosperity Initiative (EPI) project, within which she has developed behavioral training modules; Lela was the ERASMUS grant holder in April 2017 and provided lectures in Business Communication at University of Economics in Katowice, Poland. 

Lela Abdushelishvili is a World Bank translator/interpreter (consecutive, simultaneous, written) and  translated numerous  leading international coursebooks and literary pieces of work (Kotler’s “Principles of Marketing”, “Armstrong’s Handbook of Human Resources Management Practice”. “Handbook of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms of Armed Forces Personnel”;  Manana Dumbadze’s novel “Afghanistan Through the Keyhole of Baron Compound”). Lela’s original publications reflect scholarly interest in linguistics, teacher training, business and strategic communication, Common European Framework of Languages, positive approach to education, teacher and trainer education.
