Erasmus+ Jean Monnet’s project presentation ceremony was held at European University
EU-GS project presentation ceremony was held at European University. Along with the administrative, academic staff and students, many other stakeholders were represented, such as the government, the EU delegation, embassies of European countries, non-governmental organizations, and public schools.
The Rector of European University, Mrs. Nino Taliashvili and the honorary guests of the event: the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, Mr. Kakha Kuchava, the Ambassador of the European Union to Georgia, His Excellency Carl Hartzel, and the Head of the Erasmus + National Office of Georgia, Mrs. Lika Ghlonti, delivered their welcome speeches.
The main part of the event was dedicated to the presentation of Jean Monnet’s EU-GS project and the team. The project manager, Ms. Tatia Dolidze, spoke about the project goal, objectives and main activities; The difficulties of the scientific research process and the desired result were reviewed by the main researcher of the project, Mr. Levan Makhashvili; The process of developing the training manual and the applicability of the results were discussed by the main analyst of the project, Professor Ekaterine Natsvlishvili; At the end of the presentations, Mrs. Nino Tsereteli, Head of the Higher Education and Science Development Department of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, addressed the audience, emphasizing the importance of the project in the context of the development of the education system in Georgia. The second speaker from the ministry, Mrs. Lali Kalandadze, Head of the General Education Management and Development Department, could not attend the event. The speeches were then followed by a question-and-answer session using slido. The main questions were related to the empirical part of the research and, accordingly, were answered by the Field Coordinator, Mr. Giorgi Gobronidze.
It should be noted that the EU-GS project presentation ceremony was hosted by Mrs. Tatia Dolidze, Head of the International Relations Office of the European University, Affiliate Assistant Professor and Jean Monnet EU-GS Project Manager.
The event was musically accompanied by by the first violin of the Tbilisi State Opera and Ballet Theater, the main concertmaster of “Georgia for Peace”, Mrs. Lela Mchedlidze and the laureate of international competitions, associate professor of the V.Sarajishvili State Conservatory, Mrs. Nino Zhvania.
Given the pandemic situation, the event was held in full compliance with the Covid-regulations.
